The Four White Siblings — Franklin, Okey, David, and Betty
George and Elizabeth Carrie White — known as "Eggie" — raised four children in the Glade Spring area of Southwest Virginia. Their children, in birth order, were:
Franklin White, the oldest, married Ruby and had two sons: Ricky and Olan.
Fred Okey White — known as "Okey" — married Sue and had two children: Freddy (the oldest) and Pam.
David White, known as "Dave," married Gladys. They had four children: Teresa Ann, Elizabeth Caroline (Carol), Janet, and David Jr. Dave was known for singing "Good Night Irene" to his mother.
Betty White, the youngest and only sister, married Pete Williams. Together they had six children: Roger (the oldest, killed in Vietnam at 19), the twins Gary and Jerry, and three daughters — Cindy, Mary, and Sherry.
The White siblings and their families formed a close-knit network in the Glade Spring community, gathering regularly and staying connected across the generations.
